YODA
Yoda is a sweet dog with a sad story. He was abandoned at least twice. From what we know, he was found on I-40 by a well-meaning family who took him in, but his daily existence was staying in a 20 x 20 pen. After several years of that life, his family unexpectedly and suddenly moved across country. They simply left Yoda behind, on the property, by himself. The landlord found him and not knowing what to do, turned him loose in this reservation town already plagued with many neglected and abandoned strays. Yet another family having sympathy for this dog's needs, helped by referring him to an Enchantmutts foster family. Yoda's life up to this point had not been stable or caring to say the least, but while on his own he also had some adverse experiences with other dogs and been treated callously by humans.
In foster care Yoda has adjusted to kindness, attention and routine. Yoda is interacting as well as might be expected based on his past, but we have seen that he truly craves love and attention. Yoda is a bit hesitant and shy until confident he will be treated well. He doesn't appear interested in most of the other dogs, but may appreciate a gentle, low-key mate. At 8-9 years of age, Yoda deserves a stable, forever loving family. He is relatively low-to-medium energy and does well outside. Yoda would blossom with attention and affection. This beautiful, gentle, sweet-tempered dog is especially good with children.
Yoda is a neutered male, mature-aged, large cattle dog mix. He is in foster care in Gallup, New Mexico.
